Malabo, Equitorial Guinea -- We returned to complete the task begun in 1982 with our DXpedition to Annobon Island. The people of this tiny nation are kind and gentle. Unfortunately, fate has not been so kind and gentle with them and their country. We are most happy to report some improvements since our previous visit. We have the greatest appreciation for all the wonderful folks at the Ministry of Communicatison and Transports.
Again, Martha was to our knowledge the first YL to operate from this DXCC Country. More than 10,000 QSOs were made during the two week visit. The princpal bands used were 20 and 80 Meters. The primary mode was SSB but a higher percentage of CW was worked than any other DXpediton of ours.
We hope you will be able to come see the slides and hear the story of this DXpedition and DXPO Atlanta. Space does not permit on this card, but since Carl writes a DXpedition column for RADIOSPORTING magazine, perhaps you will read some of the stories of the trip there. Special thanks go to all of you cooperative DXers that made this such a pleasure.
73 and Good DX! Carl and Martha
