Malyj Vysotskij Island
Frank AHØW along with Romeo AH0M, Jukka OH6LI, Ed NT2X, Vic XE1VIC, Tomi OH6EI, George UY5XE, Kari OH6LK, Andy UA3AB and Jukka OH8PF conducted a winter DXpedition to MV Island in 1992. The DXpedition included an entry in the October CQ WW SSB contest. Using the contest call 4J1FW they turned in a score of 7,350,264. This score is still the ALL time MS record for Malyj Vysotskij. This was the last operation from M-V Island with the 4J prefix. On January 1, 1994, Azerbaidjan was assigned the 4J prefix and Malyj Vysotskij Island was given the R1MV prefix.
