1993 was a BIG year for the Southeastern DX Club! Dick K2UFT & Vern W8BLA (Past President of the SEDXC) along with a three other volunteers operated 4U1UN and claimed the World High Multi-Operator Plaque in the 1993 CQ WW 160 CW Contest with a score of 649,110 points, 1243 QSOs, 57 USA/VE sections and 45 Countries.
In that same contest, Ken K4TEA operated KP2A & Mike, K4PI operated from P40PI and both finished with World Class scores, while at home Ron, AB4RU (now W4WA) was the WORLD High SSB Multi-Operator plaque winner. The Southeastern DX Club did the impossible and had the WORLD high Club Score of 6,552,237 pushing the heavily-favored FRC Club to second place. How sweet it was!!
