The Gambia
Ed Richmond W4MGN (now W4YO) operated from Africa between 1979 and 1983. His first operation was in Fajara, The Gambia, in December, 1979 where he received the callsign C5ACC. In 1981 the Gambian government changed its callsign structure and Ed's call became C53CC through operations in 1983.
