Clipperton Island
Clipperton was activated in March of 2000 by Bob, K4UEE and 11 other operators. They made over 75,000 QSOs in seven days of operation. They had five operating positions using ICOM IC-756PROs plus a six meter and satellite station. Clipperton is located 1,500 miles south of San Diego, CA. It is a flat, barren, coral atoll inhabited by orange land crabs and various sea birds (Booby & Frigate).
