What is the Southeastern DX Club Hall of Fame?

The Southeastern DX Club Hall of Fame is an honor that is bestowed on club members who have distinguished themselves with outstanding performance in the ARRL DXCC program the SEDXC, and the DX community in general.

Minimum requirements for selection:

  1. Current ARRL DXCC Honor Roll Member

  2. Member in good standing of the Southeastern DX Club for the previous five years prior to selection

  3. Reputation as one who practices the highest standards of integrity and operating standards

  4. Has had an individual positive impact on promoting the reputation of the SEDXC and/or the growth of club membership

Standing rules for selection process and recipient selections:

  1. Each year the SEDXC President will appoint a Hall of Fame selection committee comprised of a minimum of three current Hall of Fame members.

  2. This committee is charged with selecting a chairman and ultimately making any recommendation of a candidate.

  3. The committee is not obligated to make any selections at all.  In no case will more than one candidate be selected for the Hall of Fame each year.

  4. The committee will notify the president if any candidate has been selected.  This will be done by a predetermined date agreed upon by the president and the committee.  If a candidate is selected, the committee will not announce the recipient until the actual presentation is made at a suitable SEDXC function.

  5. The committee will accept written nominations from any SEDXC member in good standing but the committee will make its final decision based on any and all available input and considerations.

  6. If a candidate is selected, the committee will have the responsibility of having a suitable plaque produced for presentation to the recipient.  The president will insure that the budget includes funds for this purpose.  A smaller brass plate will also be engraved to add to the on going SEDXC All Hall of Fame Members plaque.
