Program:  Field Trip to NQ4I Contest Station Presented by: Rick Dougherty, NQ4I In lieu of our regular April meeting we'll have a "field trip" to the fantastic contest station owned and operated by Rick NQ4I on SATURDAY, April 23rd. Rick's station is near Griffin GA.  This contest operation site has won multiple operator, multiple transmitter contests and is always a contender in most major CQ and ARRL contests.  You can get an idea of the operation by viewing the website www.nq4i.com.  There you can read about the details that exceed the space available here and in the SEDXC Bulletin. The Plan The location where we will meet for lunch is McGhin's Southern Pit BBQ just off of US Hwy 41 North of Griffin.  The address is 2963 Northeast Express Way, Griffin, GA. The phone number is 770-229-5887. The restaurant opens at 11 AM.  It is recommended that club members arrive at the restaurant around 11:15 AM in order to get tables for lunch.  There is no agreement to put tables together so consider it open seating. Rick Dougherty, NQ4I plans to join us for lunch.  He will lead us to his QTH about five miles away.  The address of his QTH is 1595 Cabin Creek Trail, Griffin, GA 30223 in case you want to go directly to his place and not meet for lunch.  Best guess is that we'll leave the restaurant and arrive at Rick's QTH between Noon and 12:30 PM.
