Tony has been a ham since 1964, he was first licensed as a Novice, WN4UPE, then a General as WA4UPE. He upgraded to Extra in 1967 while in the Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, MS and traded in the old "upe" (terrible on phone and CW) for W4ZT in November 2002. He enjoys many facets of the hobby but enjoys the technical, design and building side of things most of all. He has contested from Costa Rica (TI8) but isn't an avid DX hound. (We'll have to work on that�) Tony spent two and a half years as the Emergency Coordinator for South Fulton County and has been the District Emergency Coordinator for Metro Atlanta going on a year.
His program will focus on ARES and community involvement in that kind of communication. He is planning an informal and interactive discussion and will be providing some additional resources for the various ARES groups in Metro Atlanta and for all the Georgia Counties.
