Program:  Experiences with a Light-Weight DXpedition to CEØY with KX3 and Expert 1.3K-FA

Presented by:
Ignacy Misztal, NO9E

Whenever he travels privately or on business, Ignacy takes one of his radios and, so far, he has operated from 40 countries on six continents.  This year he has operated from ET, G, GM, GI (Marconi site), EI, 7P8, ZS, CE and CEØY, and his goal is 100 countries.  He will share experiences when traveling and working portable using QRP, 100W or KW. In particular he will describe his experiences with a compact kilowatt (KX3 + Expert 1.3K-FA) at Easter Island where he operated during CQ WW SSB.

Ignacy was first licensed as SP8FWB in 1972 and has designed and built a number of radios.  He is especially proud of his hybrid transceiver built in 1986 that had diode mixers, double crystal filters, an RF speech processor, and ran circles around the Heathkit HW-100 (but was unstable above 20m).  He holds DXCC in SP. He was licensed as NO9E in 1996 and has since earned 9B DXCC and the Honor Roll.
