Program:  Introduction to PropNet

Presented by:
Jorge de la Torre, KI4SGU

Our program for January will be presented by Jorge Luis de la Torre, KI4SGU.  He will give us an introduction to the PropNET project and PropNET’s use in assessing propagation conditions.  Along with getting a good look at a very useful propagation tool, we will get a nice introduction to PSK 31, the variant used in PropNET, and some nice insight into the Sack-Donnelly effect, tropoducting, and 10 meter propagation.  Chaz is sure to find the information interesting in connection with his calling of the 10 meter net each week!  In a time of very odd propagation conditions, PropNET is a very helpful tool in assessing band conditions; be sure to hear Jorge’s presentation.
