Things To Do When There Are No Sunspots

Satellites, ISS, SSTV, Research Contributions.

John is active with AMSAT and has been instrumental in coordinating several ISS contacts for local schools. With his mentoring, two local schools have recently been selected to contact the space station this year.

John runs an IC-9700 for satellite work and a Flex 6700 for low band and 6 meter work. I believe he has the satellite tracking and DXlab logging program working together.

John uses Foxterm to capture telemetry and upload it to a central server for use by Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and soon the University of Washington to follow experiments they have flown on the Fox series of AMSAT satellites.
