Program:  A presentation on the ARRL Second Century Campaign, the National Convention in Hartford in 2014, and the ARRL's 2014 Centennial Celebration. Presented by: Mary Hobart, K1MMH Mary M. Hobart, K1MMH, is Chief Development Officer of the American Radio Relay League.  Hobart is responsible for all fund raising activities on behalf of ARRL including Spectrum Defense, Education and Technology, W1AW, and Historic Preservation.  She also manages the ARRL's Diamond Club for annual giving, the ARRL Maxim Society for lifetime giving and estate planning, and solicits grants to support League emergency communications and educational activities.  She also serves as the Secretary of the ARRL Foundation and in that role manages the processing of contributions, Amateur Radio grants, and the annual scholarship program. Her interests in Amateur Radio include emergency communications, education, kit building, DX, and contests.  Prior to joining the ARRL staff in 2001 as the organization's first development officer, she was the Vice President for Development at Connecticut Public Broadcasting in Hartford, Connecticut.  She has also worked in development for public broadcasting stations in North Carolina, Philadelphia, and New Jersey. She holds a BA degree in History from Northwestern University and pursued post-graduate studies in education and marketing at LaSalle University.  She has two sons, Robert and Michael Markey, and two granddaughters.  Outside of ham radio, she enjoys rowing, gardening, and U-CONN women's basketball.
